imposing monumental bronze "Rape of the Sabine" after Giambologna 19.Jhdrepresentative very detailed and finely worked bronze in impressive size of 74cm (without marble base!). The group of figures, consisting of two men and a woman literally spirals up from the base. The original larger than life three figures (over 4 meters high marble sculpture in Florence) are probably the most famous work of Giovanni da Bologna (* 1529 in Flanders, † 1608 in Florence), actually Jean de Boulogne, called Giambologna. The offered reduction in bronze is patinated black-brown and in a very good condition. Together with the marble base offered with the figure group comes to a total weight of 29.2kg and almost 80cm high!Provenance: South German private collectionImposante monumentale Bronze "Raub der Sabinerin" nach Giambologna 19.Jhdrepräsentative sehr detailreich und fein ausgearbeitet Bronze in beeindruckender Größe von 74cm (ohne Marmorsockel!). Die Figurengruppe, bestehend aus zwei Männern und einer Frau schraubt sich förmlich von der Standfläche aus in die Höhe. Die im Original überlebensgroßen drei Figuren (über 4 Meter hohe Marmorskulptur in Florenz) sind das wohl berühmteste Werk von Giovanni da Bologna (* 1529 in Flandern, † 1608 in Florenz), eigentlich Jean de Boulogne, genannt Giambologna. Die angebotene Reduktion in Bronze ist schwarzbraun patiniert und in einem sehr guten Zustand.
