Adolphe Jean Lavergne, "Pêcheur"
circa 1900, signed "Lavergne.", metal plaque on the front with the inscription "Pêcheur par Lavergne", bronze dark brown patinated, depicting a fishing boy with rolled-up trouser legs and sleeves, nestling on the thread of his fishing rod, next to his leg a mooring line with ring and knotted rope, on small rectangular base, in good condition due to its age, h total 47 cm. Artist info: Parisian sculptor (active ca. 1852-1903), pupil of François Jouffroy, exhibited at the Paris Salon in 1863, 1876 and 1892, some works were exhibited at the Museé in Périgeux.
