Peter Winter-Heidingsfeld, Young man with mirror
Early 20th c., signed, bronze dark patinated, standing youth as semi-nude, covered only by lily pads, carrying on his outstretched arms above his head a large, octagonal faceted mirror, rounded at the bottom, standing on a geometrical plinth with a central elevation with a hemisphere, on an octagonal faceted green serpentine base, this with tiny missing parts, otherwise in good condition with tiny traces of age, h sculpture with mirror 77 cm, h total 79,5 cm. Artist's info: German painter, draughtsman and sculptor (1871 Heidingsfeld to 1920 Allach near Munich), studied from 1895 at the Munich Academy under Wilhelm von Rümann, member of the Munich Secession and the Munich Kunstverein, active in Munich, mounted the exhibitions in the Glaspalast, Source: Thieme-Becker/Vollmer, Allgemeines Lexikon der Bildenden Künstler, Matrikel der Akad. München and Internet.
