large bronze "Victor of Marathon" by Professor Victor Heinrich Seifertimposing bronze around 1900 of a standing male nude with helmet and sword, dark patinated by Professor Victor Heinrich Seifert (1870 Vienna - 1953 Berlin). Depicted is an Athenian warrior after victory at the Battle of the Plain of Marathon. Height ca. 63cm, weight 16.9kg., inscribed on the naturalistic bronze plinth with " Prof.V.Seifert"; very nice condition. Prof. Seifert studied at the College in Vienna and at the Academies in Berlin and Munich and created, in addition to numerous monuments, some award-winning small sculptures in bronze.Große Bronze "Sieger von Marathon" von Professor Victor Heinrich Seifertimposante Bronze um 1900 eines stehenden männlichen Aktes mit Helm und Schwert, dunkel patiniert von Professor Victor Heinrich Seifert (1870 Wien - 1953 Berlin). Dargestellt ist ein Athener Krieger nach dem Sieg bei der Schlacht um die Ebene von Marathon. Höhe ca. 63cm, Gewicht 16.9kg., auf der naturalistischen Bronzeplinthe mit " Prof.V.Seifert" bezeichnet; sehr schöner Zustand. Prof. Seifert studierte an der Hochschule in Wien und an den Akademien in Berlin und München und schuf neben zahlreichen Denkmälern einige prämierte Kleinplastiken aus Bronze.
