Image field made from two wooden panels with two horizontal slats (sponki) on the reverse, Levkas, egg tempera on chalk ground, gilding on the background, the halos, and parts of the vestments (very elaborately done), in the center is depicted Nicholas of Myra in bishop's vestments in the posture of the Pantokrator, blessing with his right hand in front of his chest and holding the open Bible in his left hand, in the upper left corner, Christ is shown handing him the Gospel, and on the right, Mary offers the Omophorion (stole) as a sign of his priesthood, good age-appropriate condition, small defects at the crack (where the wooden panels meet), minor paint abrasions (partially restored), 35.5 x 31 cm (HxW)

Ikone des Heiligen Nikolaus von Myra, Russland, 19. Jh.
aus zwei Holzbrettern gefertigtes Bildfeld, zwei Stirnseiten-Sponki, Levkas, Eitempera auf Kreidegrund, Vergoldung des Hintergrundes, der Nimben und Teile der Gewänder (sehr aufwendig), mittig dargestellt Nikolaus von Myra im Bischofsmantel in der Haltung des Pantokrator: mit der rechten Hand segnend vor der Brust und in der linken Hand die Bibel aufgeschlagen haltend, oben links im Bild reicht Christus ihm das Evangelienbuch und rechts Maria das Omophorion (die Stola) als Zeichen des Priesters, altersgemäß guter Zustand, kleine Fehlstellen am Riss (wo die Bretter aufeinander treffen), kleine Farbabriebe (teilweise restauriert), 35,5 x 31 cm (HxB)
