Flintlock travel pistol, England, early 18th century
Iron and wood, classic Queen Anne type, rifled barrel, single-shot, integrated directly into the lock, curved grip with fine diamond pattern and engraved brass inlays, typical cock-shaped trigger mechanism, decorative engravings on the lock plate and hammer, age-appropriate condition with patina and signs of use, total length 22.8 cm.
This compact pistol was designed as a travel weapon for personal protection and is a fine example of English craftsmanship in the Queen Anne style.

Steinschloss-Reisepistole, England, frühes 18. Jh.
Eisen und Holz, klassischer Queen-Anne-Typ, gezogener Lauf, einschüssig, direkt in das Schloss integriert, geschwungene Griff mit feinem Rautenmuster und gravierten Messing-Einlagen, typischer hahnförmiger Abzugsmechanismus, dekorative Gravuren auf Schlossblech und Hahn, altersgemäße Erhaltung mit Patina und Gebrauchsspuren, gesamt L. 22,8 cm
Diese kompakte Pistole war als Reisewaffe zum persönlichen Schutz konzipiert und ist ein schönes Beispiel für englische Handwerkskunst im Stil des Queen-Anne-Typs.
