UNSIGNED ITALIAN ORGAN WITH ATTACHED PEDAL, EMIGLIA ROMANA CIRCA 1700
The single-manual organ with short octave and pedal has 5 stops. It was built towards the end of the 17th century by an unknown organ-builder. The place of origin is assumed to be the region of Emilia Romagna, Italy. The instrument has been restored several times (among others by Zanni Edouardo in 1905, Emilio Catellani in 1965, and most recently by Gerald Woehl in 1978). In the course of the restoration in 1965, the instrument was given the current white greyish colour finish with blue rectangles in the fills. The keyboard with lower keys of boxwood and upper keys of ebony does not have any key fronts at the moment. There are newly made ones enclosed.
