um 1900, Bronze dunkel patiniert, auf dem Sockel Gießerstempel Oskar Gladenbeck G.m.b.H., Darstellung des antiken Faustkämpfers, Teil eines Paars aus dem Dargestellten und seines Kontrahenten Creugas, diese kämpften der Überlieferung nach bei den Nemeischen Spielen einst im traditionellen Wettkampf und zwischen beiden konnte im Kampf kein Sieger klar festgestellt werden, daraufhin wurde von den Kampfrichtern beschlossen, dass beiden jeweils ein Schlag auf das Haupt zugestanden würde, um den Gegner außer Gefecht zu setzen, da Creugas bei diesem Unterfangen nicht erfolgreich war, kam Damoxenos zum Zuge, dieser stieß dem Gegner die Hand durch das Bauchfell und riss ihm die Eingeweide aus dem Bauch, man sieht ihn hier kurz vor dem Schlag, auf langrechteckiger Plinthe, guter altersgemäßer Zustand, H gesamt 66 cm. Circa 1900, dark patinated bronze, foundry mark Oskar Gladenbeck G.m.b.H. on the base, Depiction of the ancient pugilist, part of a pair consisting of the sitter and his opponent Creugas, according to tradition, they once fought in the traditional competition at the Nemean Games and no clear winner could be determined between the two in the fight, whereupon it was decided by the judges, The judges then decided that both would be awarded a blow to the head in order to put their opponent out of action, as Creugas was unsuccessful in this endeavour, Damoxenos was given the chance, he thrust his hand through his opponent's peritoneum and tore his intestines out of his stomach, he can be seen here shortly before the blow, on a long rectangular plinth, good condition for age, h 66 cm overall.
