Colourful print after a paper cut by Henri Matisse, published as an original supplement for "Revue Verve", signed and dated H. Matisse (19)50" at lower left in print, framed under mount and behind glass, image dimensions approx. 31.5 x 16.5 cm, enclosed confirmation by Frank-Thomas Gaulin. Artist info: frz. Painter, graphic artist and sculptor (1869 Le Cateau-Cambrésis to 1954 Ciemiez near Nice), 1887-89 studied law in Paris, 1891 gave up his career as a lawyer and went to Paris, here studied at the École des Arts Décoratifes, 1893 changed to the École des Beaux-Arts to Gustave Moreau, 1900 first, but unsuccessful exhibitions, joined the "Les Fauves" and thus became the founder of Fauvism, acquaintance with Pablo Picasso, occupied with woodcut and lithography, from 1941 serious illness from which he never recovered, while in hospital he created large-format paper collages, source: Wikipedia and Internet.
