Depiction of the saint with pilgrim's staff, surrounded by a company and in the background the city of Nuremberg, below the depiction text, after an original by Marten de Vos, see Holstein 427, copper engraving, about 1580, inscribed at the lower margin of the depiction "M. de Vos figurau" and "Ion Sadeler sculps.", slightly brown-stained and lower left corner replaced, mounted under passe-partout, dimensions of depiction without lettering c. 15.2 x 20.5 cm. Artist's info: also Jan or Joan Sadeler, engraver and draughtsman (1550 Brussels to 1600 Venice), from 1572 member of the Antwerp Guild of Engravers, from 1580 in Cologne, from 1585 again in Antwerp, 1588-95 court engraver in Munich, subsequently went to Verona, Rome and Venice, Source: Thieme-Becker.
