View from an avenue onto a field with ploughing farmers, colour lithograph, c. 1900, signed in lead on the right under the image "Gleichen-Russwurm", stained, few tears and creases, image dimensions c. 31.5 x 49 cm, sheet dimensions c. 37.5 x 53 cm. Artist's info: actually Heinrich Ludwig von Gleichen-Rußwurm, German painter and graphic artist. Painter and graphic artist (1836 Greifenstein Castle in Bonnland/Lower Franconia until 1901 Weimar), 1865 after the early death of his wife he turned to painting, 1869 he was promoted by Grand Duke Carl Alexander of Saxony-Weimar-Eisenach and moved to Weimar, Studied at the Grand Ducal School of Art under Max Schmidt and from 1871 under Theodor Hagen, 1876 stayed in France and was influenced by the Barbizon School, on the advice of Albert Brendel became interested in the etching technique, numerous study trips to France, Italy, Helgoland, Sources: Thieme-Becker, Wikipedia.
