Meissen "Je les accouple - Ich verkupple sie"
from a series of 16 foreign exchange children, designed by Michael Victor Acier in 1775 (after drawings by Johann Elias Zeissig alias Schönau), underglaze blue knob sword mark 1860-1924, painted once, incised model number F.9.., mint number 53 and brush number 58, naturalistic design with polychrome onglaze painting and gold decoration, cupid sitting on a cloud formation above a triangular base with French motto, the two small flaming hearts linked by a ribbon, old expertly restored condition, ribbon bumped and base hair cracked, h 13.5 cm.
