Letter of Frederick II, King in Prussia
called "The Great" of Prussia, from 31 May 1740 King in Prussia, from 1772 King of Prussia (1712 Berlin to 1786 Potsdam) to Lieutenant-General von Marwitz, "My dear General of the Infantry von Marwitz. Your letter of 13 May has been delivered here at its time .... has been delivered. ...", in the further course Frederick II settles various tribute payments after his victory in the battle of Chotusitz on 17. The addressee is probably Major General Heinrich Karl von der Marwitz (1680 Sellin to 1744 Breslau), from 1720 member of the Prussian Tobacco College of the Soldier-King and from 1724 Chief of the Old Prussian Infantry Regiment "von Dönhoff" in Halberstadt, appointed Knight of the "Order of the Black Eagle" in 1739, given on 30 May 1742 in the army camp near the town of Chotusitz. May 1742 in the army camp at Chotusitz and signed by the king, condition in accordance with age on laid paper, dimensions 19 x 23 cm.
