Torn off a small fragment in the lower right corner, paper creases, scuffs, traces of gluing with tracing paper along the right edge of the sheet. Condition is good for its time.
Very rare. Catalogued in the British Museum, London.
Robert Dunkarton was a London mezzotint engraver active from 1770 to 1811. He began as a portrait painter, exhibiting at the Society of Artists and the Royal Academy between 1768 and 1779, whereupon he stopped exhibiting, presumably concentrating on engraving
Benjamin Beale Evans (died c. 1824) was a London printseller and engraver, also associated with the renowned Boydells printsellers. Evans engraved the portraits of American participants at the Versailles peace congress in 1783.
