Host iron or wafer iron, 18th century, iron. Two square iron plates with long handles connected by hinges. On one of the two inner sides finely engraved, mirror-inverted decoration as a matrix for the wafer pattern. Here circular decorations with crucifixes and IHS symbols, plus the year ''1747'', partly rubbed off by intensive use. At the end of the handle a long oval ring is attached to secure the tongs. Forged, heavy, solid construction. Beautiful iron patina. Plates 11 x 18 cm, total length 80 cm.

Hostieneisen bzw. Oblateneisen, 18. Jh., Eisen. Zwei viereckige Eisenplatten mit langen Griffstangen durch Scharnier verbunden. Auf einer der beiden Innenseiten fein graviertes, spiegelverkehrtes Dekor als Matritze für das Oblatenmuster . Hier kreisförmige Dekore mit Kruzifixen und IHS-Symbolen, dazu Jahreszahl ''1747'', tlw. durch intensive Nutzung abgerieben. Am Griffende lang-ovaler Ring eingehängt zur Sicherung der Zange. Geschmiedete, schwere, massive Ausführung. Schöne Eisenpatina. Platten 11 x 18 cm, Gesamtlänge 80 cm
