The Austrian painter Camillo Brockelmann came from a Hamburg family, studied at the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts from 1903 to 1911 under Christian Griepenkerl and Rudolf Bacher and received the Special School Prize in 1908; study visits to Paris and the USA. Brockelmann painted flower pictures, portraits, landscapes and cityscapes; In 1920 he showed the oil painting “Hütteldorf” at a Secession exhibition, and in 1949 he showed the oil painting “Perchtoldsdorf” at the Künstlerhaus as well as views from the area around the Danube Canal with the destroyed bridges.
