Austrian landscape and architectural painter of the 20th century. Representative of exile art. Studied at the Academy of Fine Arts with Rudolf Bacher. Traveled to Italy, Yugoslavia, Russia, Switzerland, France, Portugal and America. Acquaintance with Romain Rolland. Fond of the poet Walt Whitman and the Romanian Otto Flake. Exhibited regularly in the Hagenbund. 1938 emigration after Grenoble in France, in 1939 in Paris he met Willy Eisenschitz and Georg Merkel. 1941 emigration to the USA, 1947 return to Vienna. 1984 Exhibition in the Austrian Gallery Belvedere, 1988 exhibition in the Vienna Museum. Created, especially landscapes, with impressive mountain scenes and mountain landscapes from the Valais Alps.
