Antonio Garella (1863-1919), Art Nouveau female bust "Poetry", 1909Shoulder bust made of white cast stone with glittering surface, mounted on an octagonal angular base of red marble with plaque. Side-viewing young woman in the style of antiquity with upswept hairdo and hair ribbon, indicated clothing and laurel wreath. Engraved on the reverse shoulder "Prof. Garella" and Schumacher 1909 (Giesser). Measures approx. 38 x 20 x 33 cm. Good state of preservation with signs of age and use, on three leaves of the laurel wreath the tips are broken off. Prof. Antonio Garella (Ferrara 1863 - 1919 Florence) was a sculptor from Bologna and active in Florence. He created, among others, the equestrian statue of Garibaldi in Spezia or the statue of Francesco Datini in Prato.Antonio Garella (1863-1919), Jugendstil Frauenbüste "Poesie", 1909Schulterbüste aus weißem Steinguss mit glitzernder Oberfläche, auf einem oktogonal eckigem Sockel aus rotem Marmor mit Plakette montiert. Seitlich blickende junge Frau im Stil der Antike mit hochgesteckter Frisur und Haarband, angedeuteter Bekleidung und Lorbeerkranz. Rückseitig auf der Schulter graviert "Prof. Garella" und Schumacher 1909 (Giesser). Maße ca. 38 x 20 x 33 cm. Guter Erhaltungszustand mit Alters- und Gebrauchsspuren, an drei Blättern des Lorbeerkranzes sind die Spitzen abgebrochen. Prof. Antonio Garella (Ferrara 1863 - 1919 Florenz) war ein aus Bologna stammender Bildhauer und tätig in Florenz. Er schuf u.a. die Reiterstatue Garibaldis in Spezia oder das Standbild Francesco Datinis in Prato.
