Renaissance style nautilus goblet, historicism.Earthenware centerpiece in the shape of a nautilus goblet with sculptured faun, based on a model from the Dresden Green Vault. Depiction of a faun wearing a lion skin, on a pedestal decorated with grapes with a lion skin on his back. He carries a bowl in the shape of a snail shell with a wide opening, decorated with a half-plastic mascaron and grape decoration and floral engraving, crowned by a grape-eating mythical creature with a predator's head. Very fine workmanship, partially painted. Below model number: 112. dimensions approx. 36 x 23 x 14 cm. Good condition with few signs of age and use.Nautiluspokal im Renaissance-Stil, HistorismusTafelaufsatz aus Steingut in Form eines Nautiluspokals mit plastisch gearbeitetem Faun, nach einem Vorbild aus dem Dresdner Grünen Gewölbe. Darstellung eines Fauns mit Löwenfell, auf einem mit Weintrauben verzierten Sockel mit einem Löwenfell auf dem Rücken. Er trägt eine Schale in Form eines Schneckenhauses mit weiter Öffnung, verziert mit einem halbplastischen Maskaron und Weintraubendekor sowie Floralgravur, bekrönt von einem Trauben fressenden Fabeltier mit Raubtierkopf. Sehr feine Ausarbeitung, teilweise bemalt. Unten Modellnummer: 112. Maße ca. 36 x 23 x 14 cm. Guter Erhaltungszustand mit wenigen Alters- und Gebrauchsspuren.
