Antike Holzschnitte nach Utagawa Hiroshige (1797-1858), Anfang 20. Jh.
Vier antike farbige Holzschnitte von Ansichten der "53 Stationen der Tokaido-Straße" (東海道五十三次) nach Utagawa Hiroshige. Sehr schön gearbeitete Drucke auf Papier, in einem Passepartout hinter Glas in furnierten Holzrahmen gerahmt. Alle im Stock betitelt und signiert (Hiroshige ga). Maße: Rahmen ca. 44,5 x 35 cm, Bild ca. 21 x 15 cm. Guter Erhaltungszustand mit Altersspuren, ein Blatt mit partiellem Wurmbefall. Hiroshige war einer der drei stilbildenden Meister des japanischen Farbholzschnitts am Ende der Edo-Zeit. Seine besondere Bedeutung liegt in einer völlig neuartigen Komposition des Landschaftsdruckes seiner Zeit und seinem maßgeblichen Einfluss auf die Entwicklung des europäischen Impressionismus.

Four antique colored woodblock prints of views of the "53 Stations of the Tokaido Road" (東海道五十三次) after Utagawa Hiroshige. Very nicely done prints on paper, framed in a mount behind glass in veneered wooden frames. All titled and signed in the stock (Hiroshige ga). Dimensions: frame ca. 44,5 x 35 cm, picture ca. 21 x 15 cm. Good condition with signs of age, one sheet with partial worm infestation. Hiroshige was one of the three stylistic masters of Japanese woodblock printing at the end of the Edo period. His special significance lies in a completely new composition of landscape printing of his time and his decisive influence on the development of European Impressionism.
