Victorian mare clock, around 1860Heavy, large movement, with a quarter-hour strike on forged clay spirals. Three windings via chain and worm, heavy pendulum with large, silver-plated dial with strike stop. Case made of solid and partly veneered mahogany with maple band inlays and floral ornaments on the front. Finely cut sound outlet openings on the sides with heavy bronze handles. The upper part of the case is closed with a bronze eagle sitting on a globe. Clock in a well-kept condition, little signs of age and use, England circa 1860. Function not checked. h.83cm, b.35,5cm, d.25,5cmViktorianische Stutzuhr, um 1860Schweres, großes Uhrwerk , mit viertel stündigen Schlag auf geschmiedeten Tonspiralen. Drei Aufzüge über Kette und Schnecke, schweres Pendel , mit großem versilberten Ziffernblatt mit Schlagabstellung. Gehäuse aus massiven und teils furniertem Mahagoni mit Ahorn-Bandintarsien, sowie floralen Ornamenten an der Front. Seitlich fein ausgeschnittene Schallaustrittsöffnungen , mit schweren Bronze Griffen. Oberer Gehäuseaufsatz mit einem Bronze Adler, auf Weltkugel sitzend. Uhr in einem gepflegten Zustand, wenig Alters- und Gebrauchsspuren, England um 1860. Funktion nicht geprüft. H.83cm, B.35,5cm, T.25,5cm
