Modern Christian sculptures - signed. A. Widmer, 1932Carved from wood, probably pear tree, stained and patinated. Once half figure of Christ on console, with serious look, holding hands in front of chest. Once large heavy relief blessing Christ with two kneeling women, one with child. Slightly abstracted figures with partly elongated forms, ornamental design by the hair, tendency to Art Nouveau. Very nice elaboration and surface texture. Relief signed A. Widmer 1932 (Alfred Widmer?), figure monogrammed A.W. 1932. Good condition with few signs of age and use.Moderne, christliche Skulpturen - sign. A. Widmer, 1932Aus Holz geschnitzt, wohl Birnbaum, gebeizt und patiniert. Einmal Halbfigur Christus auf Konsole, mit ernstem Blick, die Hände vor der Brust haltend. Einmal großes, schweres Relief segnender Christus mit zwei knienden Frauen, eine davon mit Kind, 17,1kg. Leicht abstrahierte Figuren mit teils überlängten Formen, ornamentale Gestaltung beim Haar, Tendenz zum Jugendstil. Sehr schöne Ausarbeitung und Oberflächenstruktur. Relief signiert A. Widmer 1932 (Alfred Widmer?), Figur monogrammiert A.W. 1932. Guter Zustand mit wenigen Alters- und Gebrauchsspuren.
