Studied at the Royal Württemberg Academy of Fine Arts, student of Adolf Hölzel, known for his expressionist church decorations.
Oil sketch on paper. Expressionist depiction of the Mother of God with baby Jesus and five shepherds. Unsigned. Label with artist's name on the back. Early 20th c. Framed under glass. Condition corresponding to the age, otherwise good. Overall dimensions H. 27cm, w. 22cm. Bequest from the private collection of Pastor Albert Pfeffer (1873 - 1937), Lautlingen.

Studium an der Königlich Württembergischen Akademie der Bildenden Künste, Schüler von Adolf Hölzel, bekannt für seine expressionistischen Kirchenausstattungen.
Ölskizze auf Papier. Expressionistische Darstellung der Muttergottes mit Jesuskind und fünf Hirten. Unsigniert. Rückseitig Aufkleber mit Künstlerbezeichnung. Anfang 20. Jh. Gerahmt unter Glas. Dem Alter entsprechender Zustand, sonst gut. Gesamtmaße H. 27cm, B. 22cm. Nachlass aus Privatsammlung Pfarrer Albert Pfeffer (1873 - 1937), Lautlingen.
