Italian-French genre painter, also known as Gennaro Befanio.
Oil on wood. Very fine small painting in subtle pastel tones, impressionistic lighting. Depicting a market with flowers in a Mediterranean square. In front mother and child. Signed "G. Befani" lower right. Bottom left once again inscribed "G. Befani". Good condition, corresponding to the age. Hairline crack lower left. Framed. Overall dimensions h. 18,5cm, w. 22,5cm.
