Stations of the Cross painting, Nazarene, 19th century.
Oil on canvas. Very finely executed depiction of the third station of the cross (Christ falls for the first time)with the falling Christ in the red cloak, who is beaten by a soldier with raised club, while Simon lifts the cross. Free copy after the Stations of the Cross in St. Nepomuk, Vienna, by Joseph Ritter von Führich (1800, Kratzau - 1876, Vienna). Monogrammed "GD". According to the age good condition with few traces of use, small damage to the canvas. H. 88cm, w. 62cm.

Sehr fein ausgearbeitete Darstellung der dritten Kreuzwegstation (Christus fällt zum ersten mal)mit dem fallenden Christus im roten Mantel, welcher von einem Soldaten mit erhobener Keule geschlagen wird, während Simon das Kreuz anhebt. Freie Kopie nach dem Kreuzweg in St. Nepomuk, Wien, von Joseph Ritter von Führich (1800, Kratzau - 1876, Wien). Monogrammiert "GD". Dem Alter entsprechend guter Zustand mit wenigen Gebrauchsspuren, kleine Beschädigungen an der Leinwand. H. 88cm, B. 62cm.
