Лейб-гвардии Конный полк — гвардейское кавалерийское формирование Русской императорской гвардии. Нижние чины полка комплектовались из высоких жгучих брюнетов с усиками (4-й эскадрон — с бородами). Общая полковая масть коней — вороная (с основания полка, затем — разная в период войн, вновь вороная с 1823 г.), у трубачей с 1737 г. масть коней серая.
