Two African sculptures, probably Makonde, Ebony
made of heavy ebony wood. Once drummer in short skirt, in squatting pose, h. 32cm. Once warrior, standing, with shield and spear and long robe, with teeth made of bone and earrings made of copper, h. 48cm. 20th c. Finely carved and elaborately decorated.
Zwei afrikanische Skulpturen, wohl Makonde, Ebenholz
aus schwerem Makassar Ebenholz. Einmal Trommelspieler im kurzen Rock, in hockender Pose, H. 32cm. Einmal Krieger, stehend, mit Schild und Speer und langem Gewand, mit Zähnen aus Bein und Ohrringen aus Kupfer, H. 48cm. 20. Jh. Fein geschnitzt und aufwändig verziert.
