Figurale Art Déco-Pendule mit Mädchen und Marabu
Uhrengehäuse aus grünem und weißem Onyx sowie Marmor, die Figuren aus kalt patiniertem und vergoldetem Metall. Sign. "D. H. Chiparus". Stereometrisch gestaltet, das würfelförmige Gehäuse auf Pyramidensockel und flacher Plinthe, flankiert von einem vollplastischen Paar junger, faszinierter Mädchen bzw. einem Marabu. Silberfarbenes Zifferblatt mit schwarzen arabischen Ziffern, bez. "M. CLEMENT (/) MARTIGUES", scharnierte Verglasung mit vernickelter Profilrahmung. Pendulenwerk mit Pendelfeder, Halbstundenschlag. Sockel ger. best., ohne Glocke. H. 29 cm; B. 49,5 cm.
After Dimitri Chiparus (1886 - 1947). Figural Art Deco mantel clock with two girls fascinated by a marabou stork. White and green onyx and marble, cold painted and gilt figures. Signed "D. H. Chiparus", clock face inscribed. Minor chips to the base, bell lost.
