Würdevolle Tanzmasken des unterhaltsamen mblo-Tanztheaters, das ähnlich der Commedia dell’arte immer wieder neu definiert wurde.
Die Typen und Masken sowie das Handlungsgerüst boten den geübten Darstellern Raum und Gelegenheit zur Improvisation. Das idealisierte, introvertierte Gesicht war normalerweise das Porträt einer bekannten Person.
Die elaborierte Frisur, Ausdruck persönlicher Schönheit und des Begehrens anderen Freude zu bereiten, zeugt vom handwerklichen Geschick des Schnitzers und von dessen Vergnügen daran, seinem Können freien Lauf zu lassen.
