A RARE AND VERY FINE ICON SHOWING A CHURCH ICONOSTASIS Russian, Moscow, Vladimir Alekseevitch Tyulin, circa 1900 Tempera on wood panel with kovcheg. Finely executed in great detail on a gold ground. On the reverse Cyrillic stamp of the workshop. 35.5 x 31 cm. erster Linie als begabter Restaurator bekannt. Vladimir Tyulin was a well-known icon restorer. Together with Vasily Guryanov – Invited by the prior of the Trinity Lavra in the spring of 1904 – he helped to restore the Trinity by Andrei Rublev.
