After 34 successful auctions with countless world record prices for cameras, I handed the camera auctions over to a group, also to concentrate on the WestLicht Photo and Camera Museum, the OstLicht Photo Gallery and the OstLicht Photo Auctions. However, when I was recently offered a private lover's fantastic collection, I couldn't resist the temptation. Especially since this man acquired most of the pieces he collected from me over the course of many years and always attached great importance to perfect condition and originality. For stereo plates 8.5x17cm, polished mahogany body, magazine for 24 exposures on 12 plates, nickel plates fittings and a pair of individually focusing Hermagis rectilinear lenses in nickel finish and rotary shutter; the camera was patented by Dr Ricard & Lacroix and manufactured by Hermagis. With ivory plaque on front engraved 'P.LAMBIN despositaire-ROUEN No.1011' - the very rare stereo version of the Velocigraphe detective camera is in beautiful original condition with original leather covering with handle.
