OstLicht Camera Auction Spring 2023
By OstLicht Camera Auction
Jun 1, 2023
OstLicht Gallery, Absberggasse 27, 1100 Wien, Österreich, Austria

We are pleased to be able to present the camera auction on June 1, 2023 at 2 p.m. in OstLicht, gallery for photography. 1991 was the year of birth of the first Leica shop worldwide, in 2001 my team and I started the WestLicht auction house in Vienna. After 34 successful auctions with countless world record prices for cameras, I handed the camera auctions over to a group, also to concentrate on the WestLicht Photo and Camera Museum, the OstLicht Photo Gallery and the OstLicht Photo Auctions. However, when I was recently offered a private lover's fantastic collection, I couldn't resist the temptation. Especially since this man acquired most of the pieces he collected from me over the course of many years and always attached great importance to perfect condition and originality. The result is a collection that we are now offering with great pleasure in this auction. The traditional OstLicht Photo Auction begins on June 2 at 5 p.m. CEST. We cordially invite you to come to Vienna or to participate as a long-distance bidder. Our long-standing auctioneer Niki Schauerhuber and the team look forward to welcoming you.

SN: 6543875
Year/Baujahr: 1964
Condition/Zustand: B+

English

This cameras were originally designed for the U.S. NAVY aircraft as an air-to-air 'scramble' camera. The special motor drive is accommodated in an aluminium housing. It has a large pistol grip which was roughened before being painted. This camera unit seems not been delivered to the U.S. NAVY. There are no Navy engravings or the typically metal plates with all the US. NAVY engravings on camera back or motor (and have not been removed). Still it has all the modifications of the KS 80A. From the estate of the famous Swedish photographer Lennard Nilsson. In very fine, original condition, shutter works but the charger unit is missing. The set comes with a Nikkor-P 2.5/105mm no.164104 in perfect condition with cap.

Deutsch
