The collection of Prof. Dr. Rudolph Ewerhart (1928-2022).

Since 1982 Rudolf Ewerhart lived with his wife Helene in the late baroque Burghaus Wassenach near the Laacher See, the aristocratic residence of the Knights of Kolb built from 1772-1775. Parallel to the extensive renovation

In 1996 he organized exclusive concerts in the “Music in the Burghaus Wassenach” series in the hall of the mansion, at which newly acquired or freshly restored instruments from the collection in the were the focus.

CONVOLUTE HISTORICAL BELT WITH 8 JINGLES AND 15 ADDITIONAL JINGLES
Mixed lot with signs of age and use, consisting of a belt with 8 jingles attached and 15 additional jingles.
The jingle belt or wreath consists of a leather band to which the jingles (cross-shaped opening) are attached. Bell wreaths are found in religious and secular customs and are worn as a necklace.
Dimensions: Length: 86.0cm, width: 6.7 cm.
Further 15 loose bells belong to this convolute. Some of these bells are decorated in medieval style and are possibly very old. There is a cross-shaped incised bell, possibly made of bronze, with a chiselled band around it. Two grouped bells with an incised band are stamped.
