Painter and graphic artist (1945 Ebern - 2024 Kreischa), childhood in Görlitz, 1963-65 apprenticeship as a typesetter, 1967-72 studied at the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts under Günter Horlbeck and Gerhard Kettner, where his friendship with Veit Hofmann began, Rainer Zille and Joachim Boettcher, from 1973 freelance in Bad Muskau, from 1974 in Cottbus and from 1975 back in Dresden, here from 1982-82 master student of Gerhard Kettner, numerous study trips, 1989 serious car accident, source: Eisold "Artists in the GDR" and Wikipedia.
