komponierte Venedigansicht, mit Booten vor Santa Maria della Salute, schwarz konturierende, expressive, pastose Malerei in kraftvoller Farbigkeit, teils in Spachteltechnik, Öl auf Leinwand, um 1980, rechts unten unleserlich signiert, rückseitig Wiener Rahmungsetikett, Farbplatzer, etwas restaurierungsbedürftig, original gerahmt (rest.bed.), Falzmaß ca. 50 x 100 cm. Künstlerinfo: dt. Maler, Bildhauer und Dichter (1921 Sangerhausen bis 1986 Otzberg), vor 1939 drei Semester Studium an der Akademie Düsseldorf bei Julius Paul Junghanns, anschließend Kriegsfreiwilliger im 2. Weltkrieg, Verwundung und zwei Semester Studium an der Akademie Königsberg, 1945-47 Kriegsgefangenschaft, anschließend in Frankfurt am Main freischaffend, unternahm Studienreisen durch Rumänien, Ungarn, Jugoslawien, den Libanon, die Türkei, England, Ägypten, Portugal, Italien, Spanien, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Frankreich, Syrien und den Sudan, spätestens ab 1967 in Hering (heute Ortsteil von Otzberg) tätig, 1974 Ehrung mit der Ehrendoktorwürde der Akademie Ravenna, Quelle: Wikipedia.

composed view of Venice, with boats in front of Santa Maria della Salute, black contoured, expressive, impasto painting in powerful colours, partly in spatula technique, oil on canvas, c. 1980, illegibly signed lower right, Viennese framing label on the reverse, paint chipped, somewhat in need of restoration, originally framed (rest.bed.), rebate size approx. 50 x 100 cm. Artist information: German painter, sculptor and poet (1921 Sangerhausen - 1986 Otzberg), before 1939 three semesters of study at the Düsseldorf Academy under Julius Paul Junghanns, then a war volunteer in World War 2, wounded and two semesters of military service. He was wounded and spent two semesters studying at the Königsberg Academy, 1945-47 as a prisoner of war, then freelanced in Frankfurt am Main, undertook study trips through Romania, Hungary, Yugoslavia, Lebanon, Turkey, England, Egypt, Portugal, Italy, Spain, Afghanistan, Pakistan, France, Syria and Sudan, active in Hering (now part of Otzberg) from 1967 at the latest, awarded an honorary doctorate from the Ravenna Academy in 1974, source: Wikipedia.
