mit energischen Duktus angelegte großformatige Komposition, Aquatintaradierung und Prägedruck über heller Tonplatte auf Büttenkarton, um 1960-70, unter der Darstellung in Blei rechts signiert "Schumacher" und links bezeichnet "h.c.", außerhalb der Auflage von nur 29 nummerierten Exemplaren, minimal fleckig und außerhalb der Darstellung an der oberen Kante lichtrandig. Darstellungsmaße ca. 49,5 x 63,5 cm, Blattmaße ca. 62 x 77 cm. Künstlerinfo: dt. Maler und Graphiker (1912 Hagen bis 1999 San José/Ibiza), 1931-34 Studium der Werbegrafik an der Handwerker- und Kunstgewerbeschule Dortmund, 1935-39 als freischaffender Maler tätig, nach der Machtergreifung der Nationalsozialisten als „Kulturbolschewist“ degradiert und von der Reichskammer der bildenden Künste ausgeschlossen, während des Kriegs als Technischer Zeichner tätig, 1947 erste Einzelausstellung in Wuppertal, 1958-60 Professur an der Hochschule der Bildenden Künste in Hamburg, 1959 Teilnahme an der documenta II in Kassel, 1961 Teilnahme an der 29. Large-format composition created with an energetic style, aquatint etching and relief printing over light tone plate on laid cardboard, around 1960-70, signed "Schumacher" in pencil below the image on the right and inscribed "h.c." on the left, outside the edition of only 29 numbered copies, minimally stained and with light-staining outside the image on the upper edge. Depiction measures approx. 49.5 x 63.5 cm, sheet measures approx. 62 x 77 cm. Artist information: German painter and graphic artist. Painter and graphic artist (1912 Hagen - 1999 San José/Ibiza), 1931-34 studied commercial art at the Dortmund School of Crafts and Arts and Crafts, 1935-39 worked as a freelance painter, after the National Socialists seized power he was demoted as a "cultural Bolshevik" and excluded from the Reich Chamber of Fine Arts, worked as a technical draughtsman during the war, first solo exhibition in Wuppertal in 1947, 1958-60 professorship at the Hochschule der Bildenden Künste in Hamburg, 1959 participation in documenta II in Kassel, 1961 participation in the 29th Venice Biennale.
