vier tanzende junge Frauen auf stilisierter Blumenwiese, ursprünglich für den Zyklus "Dantes göttliche Komödie" entstanden, fand hier allerdings keine Verwendung und wurde später von Les Heures Claires editiert, Farbxylographie, um 1960, unter der Darstellung von Hand rechts signiert "Dali" und links nummeriert "CXXIII/CL", minimal gebräunt, unter Passepartout und hinter Glas gerahmt, Passepartoutausschnitt ca. 56 x 40 cm. Künstlerinfo: eigentlich Salvador Dali y Domenech, bedeutender spanischer Maler, Graphiker und Illustrator (1904 Figueras bis 1989 Figueras), ab 1916 Unterricht im Kolleg der Maristen, ab 1922 Studium an der Academia San Fernando in Madrid und an der Escuela Catalana in Barcelona, 1928 Parisreise zu Pablo Picasso, hier 1929 Anschluss an die Surrealistengruppe um Breton, deren bedeutendster Vertreter er werden sollte, 1934 Heirat mit Gala und USA-Reise, tätig in Portlligat bei Cadaqués, nach Ausbruch des Bürgerkrieges in Spanien Reise nach London und Italien, 1940-48 Übersiedlung nach Cleveland Ohio/USA, zurückgekehrt tätig in Figueras und Púbol. four dancing young women on a stylised flower meadow, originally created for the cycle "Dante's Divine Comedy", but was not used here and was later edited by Les Heures Claires, colour xylograph, around 1960, signed "Dali" by hand below the image on the right and numbered "CXXIII/CL" on the left, minimally browned, matted and framed behind glass, mat opening approx. 56 x 40 cm. Artist information: actually Salvador Dali y Domenech, important Spanish painter, graphic artist and illustrator (1904 Figueras to 1989 Figueras), from 1916 taught at the Marist College, from 1922 studied at the Academia San Fernando in Madrid and at the Escuela Catalana in Barcelona, 1928 travelled to Paris to visit Pablo Picasso, 1929 joined the Surrealist group around Breton, whose most important representative he was to become, 1934 married Gala and travelled to the USA, worked in Portlligat near Cadaqués, after the outbreak of the civil war in Spain travelled to London and Italy, 1940-48 moved to Cleveland Ohio/USA, returned to work in Figueras and Púbol.
