entkleidete Dame, die gerade im Begriff ist, ihre Blöße wieder zu bedecken, indem sie sich eine Toga über die Schultern wirft, antikisierende, reduzierte und gerade dadurch eindrucksvoll festgehaltene Szene, eine von 35 erotischen Illustrationen zu Marcel Luciens "Dialogues des courtisanes", Creuzevault, Paris 1948, gestochen von Fernand Murlot, wohl außerhalb der limitierten Auflage von 1948 (275), Lithographie auf Japan, Mitte 20. Jh., rechts unten im Stein monogrammiert "M", rückseitig in Blei bezeichnet und Etikett der Mannheimer Rahmenhandlung Rheinstädter, Papier leicht gegilbt, im Passepartout hinter Glas gerahmt, Passepartoutausschnitt ca. 42 x 57 cm. Künstlerinfo: Aristide Maillol (Banyuls-sur-Mer 1861 bis 1944 ebenda), französischer Maler, Grafiker und Bildhauer, orientierte sich malerisch an dem ihm persönlich bekannten Paul Gauguin, mit Henri Matisse zeitlebens befreundet, für die europäische Moderne vor allem als Bildhauer von großem Einfluss, wie an den Werken der deutschen Bildhauer Wilhelm Lehmbruck, Georg Kolbe und Arno Breker zu erkennen.

Century, monogrammed "M" in the stone lower right, on the reverse inscribed in lead and label of the Mannheim frame shop Rheinstädter, paper slightly yellowed, matted and framed behind glass, mat opening approx. 42 x 57 cm. Artist information: Aristide Maillol (Banyuls-sur-Mer 1861 - 1944 ibid.), French painter, graphic artist and sculptor, orientated himself painterly on Paul Gauguin, whom he knew personally, was a lifelong friend of Henri Matisse, for European modernism above all as a sculptor of great influence, as can be seen in the works of the German sculptors Wilhelm Lehmbruck, Georg Kolbe and Arno Breker.
