Artist info: actually Friedrich Wilhelm Rabending, Austrian landscape painter (1862 Vienna to 1929 Munich), studied at the Städel Institute Frankfurt am Main, pupil of Hermann Baisch and Hans Gustav Schönleber at the Academy Karlsruhe, received numerous honours, among others gold medal in Salzburg 1900 and silver medal at the World Exhibition in St. Louis 1904, member of the Reichsverband Bildender Künstler Deutschlands, the Allgemeine Deutsche Kunstgenossenschaft and the Künstlerbund Bayern, active in Munich, Source: Thieme-Becker, Dressler and Boetticher.
