Towering on a mountain top at the edge of a wide valley in front of an imposing mountain backdrop, partially slightly impasto landscape painting, oil on wood panel, partly illegibly inscribed and dated on the reverse "... X. L. Hartig 1834 Ku...", retouching, minor paint losses, panel somewhat distorted, in a gilded frame worked over the corner, folding dimensions approx. 42 x 55.5 cm.
