View along the Ammer river of imposing mountain peaks, etching, c. 1930, signed in pencil under the image on the right "Otto Ackermann-Pasegg" and titled on the left "Oberammergau", inscribed in the plate "Otto Ackermann-Paseg Oberammergau", brown spotting, framed behind glass, image dimensions approx. 22 x 31,5 cm, folding dimensions approx. 34,5 x 49 cm. Artist info: actually Otto Georg Karl Ackermann, first called himself Ackermann-Pasing, German landscape painter, illustrator and cyclist. Landscape painter, illustrator and etcher (1882 Plauen to 1959 Krailling), student of Carl Theodor Meyer in Basel, studied at the academy in Leipzig, here he worked together with Andreas Curt Striegler and Dreßler, furthermore influenced by Heinrich von Zügel and Max Liebermann, 1916 worked as a drawing teacher in Schlitz/Hesse, worked temporarily as an illustrator for the mountain publisher Rudolf Rother in Munich, member of the German artists' association "Die Juryfreien" Munich, held exhibitions in Düsseldorf, Berlin and Fürstenfeldbruck, worked in Munich-Pasing, Planegg and Oberammergau , source: Vollmer, Dressler, Bruckmann and Internet.
