Five works, young man watching a naked woman bathing in the lake; princess with her prince in the forest; young man holding the hand of his beloved; Fabulous creatures, riding on deer through the forest and two-leaf work Family in a boat at moonlit night, ink pen, partly in brown and black on thin paper, c. 1910, inscribed on a mount on the reverse "Alice Wanke Wiener Jugendstilillustratorin", partly creased, each mounted under mount, mount cut-out max. approx. 30 x 20 cm. Artist's info: Austrian painter, graphic artist and illustrator (1873 Vienna to 1939 Vienna), daughter of the genre and landscape painter Ludwig Wanke, studied at the painting school of Robert Scheffer, 1894-1900 studied at the Kunstgewerbeschule in Vienna, among others with Josef Hoffmann, attended the painting class of Franz von Matsch, 1901-11 worked for the Charles Cabos company as a commercial artist, briefly worked at the Augarten porcelain manufactory, from c. 1918 freelance, source: Wikipedia.
