Effortful reduced reproduction of the 1959 painting by Friedensreich Hundertwasser, now in the Belvedere in Vienna, multi-coloured, screenless print on textured pressboard, 2nd half of the 20th century, signed "Hundertwasser" lower left in the print, minimally rubbed, dimensions approx. 73 x 74.5 cm. Artist's info: actually Friedrich Stowasser, also called himself Friedensreich Regentag Dunkelbunt Hundertwasser, Austrian painter, draughtsman, graphic artist, sculptor, architect, designer, philosopher and environmental activist (1928 Vienna to 2000 on board the "Queen Elizabeth 2" near New Zealand), studied briefly at the Vienna Academy 1948-49, largely self-taught, 1949 trip to Italy, 1950 in Paris, 1951 stays in Morocco, Tunisia, Sicily and on the Bürgeralm near Aflenz in Styria, from 1957 own farmhouse in Normandy, 1960-61 stay in Japan, from 1964 second home in the Lower Austrian Waldviertel and purchase and conversion of a former salt freighter into the residential ship "Regentag", from 1972 commercial graphic works such as the design of posters for the XX Olympic Summer Games and postage stamps. In 1981 he was appointed professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna, in 1982 he designed the façade of the Rosenthal factory in Selb, subsequently he worked on numerous important architectural projects in Germany, Austria, the USA, Japan, New Zealand and Switzerland, he participated in numerous exhibitions, among others in Milan, Paris, Vienna, the Venice Biennale and documenta III in Kassel, he received numerous awards such as the Austrian State Prize for Fine Arts in 1980 and the Golden Decoration of Honour of the City of Vienna in 1988, source: Vollmer and Internet.
