Ridinger inv. del. sc. et. exc. A. V.", evenly slightly browned, framed under passepartout and behind glass, dimensions of the depiction without lettering ca. 21,5 x 23,5 cm, enclosed nobleman hunting in the forest and in the lower part depiction of various antlers and staves, dimensions of the depiction ca. 33 x 20 cm. Artist's info: German painter, graphic artist and publisher (1698 Ulm to 1767 Augsburg), pupil of his father Johann Ridinger, from c. 1711 pupil of the painter Christoph Resch in Ulm, from 1713-14 with Johann Falch in Augsburg, through the mediation of Gabriel Spitzel three years in the service of Count Metternich in Regensburg, from c. 1718 pupil of Georg Philipp Rugendas the Elder at the Augsburg City Academy, here appointed "Assessor of the Protestant Marriage Court" in 1757 and director of the City Academy in 1759, became famous for animal and hunting depictions, which made up a major part of his work, Source: Thieme-Becker, Wikipedia and Internet.
