Yves Lohe, Giraffe
contemporary, stamped LOHE, bronze nickel-plated and partially patinated, colourless glass with colour enamels in blue, red, green and yellow, strongly abstracted, humorous depiction of a giraffe with head tilted pertly to the side, a larger chip (L 24 mm) on the reverse of the glass, h 29.7 cm. Artist info: French sculptor (born 1947), studied law and worked as a teacher for some time, but discovered that his passion was sculpture, in the creative period until 1979 he worked mainly with sheet iron, until 1991 he created bronze sculptures, from 1991 he trained with master glassblower Werner Manesse and began to produce fusions of bronze with glass, his works can be found in galleries worldwide.
