Staatliche Fachschule Selb Lidded Box with Helmet
Designed by Fritz Klee around 1915, green designer's stamp and stamp mark 1919-1945, incised model number M 335, oval, fittingly curved body on four small rocaille feet with heroic relief decoration of two surrounding ornamental friezes, vertical strings of pearls and corner rosettes as well as an iron cross on both sides of the plastic lid knob, the latter designed as a Corinthian helmet with sword on laurel leaves, decorated with rich onglaze decoration in purple and gold, rare lidded box, minimally burnt, otherwise in very good condition according to age, h 15.5 cm.
