View from a slope overgrown with spruces into a wide valley with some houses and in the background mountain range under a loosely clouded sky, impasto landscape painting in warm colours, oil on hardboard, c. 1940, lower right incised signature "J. Stein", strongly reminiscent of works by Rudolf Poeschmann, slightly in need of cleaning, framed, folded dimensions c. 69 x 86.5 cm.
