Ottwill Sieberg, Abstract Still Life
abstract still life with vase of flowers and basket of fruit, still life painted partly with a strong impasto and partly with thinned paint, oil on hardboard, signed on the reverse "Ottwill Sieberg", slight craquelure in places, upper right corner damaged and retouched, slight scratches in the painting surface, framed, folding dimensions approx. 67 x 57.5 cm. Artist info: German painter, commercial artist, caricaturist, stage designer and costume designer (born 1911), active in Wiesbaden, first working as a theatre painter, from ca. 1945 freelancing in Wiesbaden as a painter, caricaturist and graphic artist, source: Nikolas Jacobs in "Kleine Wiesbadener Kunstgeschichte, Teil 27".
