High summer harvest landscape with three haystacks, meadows and sunflowers in the foreground as well as farmhouses and a windmill on the horizon, somewhat impasto painting in harmonious colours, oil on canvas, 1st half 20th century, signed lower left "Willy Mulot", somewhat retouched, slight need of cleaning, framed, folding dimensions approx. 56 x 56 cm. Artist's info: actually Willibald Mulot, German painter, draughtsman, graphic artist. Painter, draughtsman, graphic artist and illustrator (1889 Wiesbaden - 1982 Wiesbaden), studied 1906-14 at the academy of arts in Düsseldorf, master pupil of Eugen Dücker, represented in the municipal gallery Wiesbaden, exhibited at the Nassauischer Kunstverein, Member of the board of the Association of Wiesbaden Artists, member of the Nassau Art Association Wiesbaden, the artists' group "Das Eiland" Düsseldorf and the Reichsverband bildender Künstler (Reich Association of Visual Artists), in 1938-42 he exhibited at the Great German Art Exhibition in the House of German Art in Munich, active in Wiesbaden , source: Thieme-Becker, Vollmer, Saur "Bio-Bibliographisches Künstlerlexikon", Dressler, Müller-Singer, Ries, Bénézit and Wikipedia.
