Willy Mulot, Bauernhaus
Large farmhouse with barn, surrounded by tall trees, impasto painting in muted colours on blue grounding, oil on canvas, signed and dated lower right "Willy Mulot [19]21", partially slightly shrinkage cracked, slight scratches in the painting surface, slightly in need of cleaning, framed, folding dimensions approx. 41.5 x 52.5 cm. Artist info: actually Willibald Mulot, German painter, draughtsman, graphic artist. Painter, draughtsman, graphic artist and illustrator (1889 Wiesbaden - 1982 Wiesbaden), studied 1906-14 at the academy of arts in Düsseldorf, master pupil of Eugen Dücker, represented in the municipal gallery Wiesbaden, exhibited at the Nassauischer Kunstverein, Member of the board of the Association of Wiesbaden Artists, member of the Nassau Art Association Wiesbaden, the artists' group "Das Eiland" Düsseldorf and the Reichsverband bildender Künstler (Reich Association of Visual Artists), in 1938-42 he exhibited at the Great German Art Exhibition in the House of German Art in Munich, active in Wiesbaden , source: Thieme-Becker, Vollmer, Saur "Bio-Bibliographisches Künstlerlexikon", Dressler, Müller-Singer, Ries, Bénézit and Wikipedia.
